For the 5th year in a row, Church Brothers is proud to once again have painted four cars for the Indianapolis Soap Box Derby that was held on Saturday, June 20th.  Forty-seven kids, ages 8-17, participated in this year's event.  The participants raced down the Wilbur Shaw Memorial Hill on 30th Street near Cold Spring Road for a chance to compete in the All-American Soap Box Derby on July 25th in Akron, OH.  The competition was fierce and the race turned into a rip roaring battle ending with a double-elimination.  Danville High School student, Megan Newcomer, 14, captured the super stock division, winning the final race by .0014 of a second.

Newcomer won the national championship in the rally stock division in Akron in 2008.
