INDIANAPOLIS - The need for food keeps growing and Indianapolis is ready to drive it down! Church Brothers Collision Repair is thrilled to announce that four local businesses have joined with us to "Drive Down Hunger" in a month-long community food drive that is slated for kick-off on Saturday, May 1. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, A.G. Maas, Now Courier and Indiana Paging Network have all partnered with Church Brothers to collect non-perishable food and cash donations that will help stock the shelves at six local food pantries.
To date, more than 4.3 tons of food have been collected and donated during the two years that Church Brothers has been working to "Drive Down Hunger," and with the needs continuing to grow, we're kicking it up a notch! With even more support this year, we're challenging the "Church M.I.C.E." (Motivated, Involved, Caring Employees) and our local business friends to make the 3rd annual "Driving Down Hunger" campaign a record-breaking success!
Through May 31, non-perishable foods as well as cash donations will be accepted during regular business hours at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, A.G. Maas, Now Courier, Indiana Paging Network and all six Church Brothers locations. One-hundred percent of contributions will benefit the six designated food pantries.
Community food pantries to be served by "Driving Down Hunger" are:
- Concord Neighborhood Center on the city's near southside
- The Johnson County Corps of the Salvation Army
- Sheltering Wings in Danville
- Noblesville's Third Phase
- Old Bethel United Methodist Church on Indianapolis' far eastside and
- St. Vincent DePaul on the near northside
