Indianapolis, IN - June 10, 2010 - Church Brothers, a family-owned collision repair company since 1929, is excited to announce their 3rd annual Church M.I.C.E. Driving Down Hunger food drive has been overwhelmingly successful!  The food drive, held throughout the month of May, gave both Church Brothers employees and customers alike the opportunity to help and raise awareness of those in need.  The overall achievements of this event can be attributed to the Church Brothers employees known as Church M.I.C.E., who realized the need and initiated the idea of a food drive to support local food pantries.  Church M.I.C.E., which stands for Motivated, Involved and Caring Employees, is an employee-founded group, established in October, 2005, that looks for opportunities and innovative ways to help the community.  One of their main objectives is Driving Down Hunger and the results are in!

With the help of four other local companies, this growing company of six collision repair centers enthusiastically raised over 2,500 pounds of food and other household items for the third annual Church M.I.C.E. Driving Down Hunger food drive.  That's 1.25 tons!  In addition, $5,000.00 was donated from Church Brothers' customers, vendors, Employee Charitable Giving Fund, and the company itself.  In the past three years, the Church M.I.C.E. Driving Down Hunger food drive has supplied over 13,891 pounds of food to local food pantries.  That's a whopping total of 6.95 tons!!

"I cannot begin to express how proud I am of all of our stores and the way they have given back to their community.  We are thrilled with the outcome of our 3rd annual Church M.I.C.E. food drive and especially with the participation of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, NOW Courier, A.G. Maas, and Indiana Paging Network," said Ted McClintic, President of Church Brothers Collision Repair, LLC.

Local food pantries that benefitted from the 3rd annual Church M.I.C.E. Driving Down Hunger food drive were Third Phase in Noblesville, Concord Neighborhood Center, the Salvation Army of Johnson County, Sheltering Wings, Old Bethel United Methodist Church, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
