For the fourth consecutive year, Church Brothers Collision Repair is hosting a month-long community food drive to benefit six local food pantries.
Since its inception, the "Driving Down Hunger" campaign has collected nearly seven tons of food and supplies, and in excess of $5,000 in cash contributions.
"Driving Down Hunger" runs May 2-31. All six locations of the family-owned-and-operated collision repair firm are collection points for non-perishable food and other items (such as paper products and cleaning supplies), and cash donations. One hundred percent of contributions will benefit the six designated food pantries:
- Concord Neighborhood Center on the city's near southside;
- the Johnson County Corps of the Salvation Army;
- Sheltering Wings in Danville;
- Noblesville's Third Phase;
- Old Bethel United Methodist Church on Indianapolis' far eastside, and
- St. Vincent DePaul on the near northside.
The food drive was created by the "Church M.I.C.E.," (Motivated, Involved, Caring Employees), a group founded by Church Brothers' nearly 150 employees. The drive is one of several "Church M.I.C.E." programs that give back to the communities that surround the 82-year old company's six collision repair facilities.
Church Brothers Collision Repair shops accepting donations of non-perishable food and other items, or cash contributions, are located at:
- Downtown - 135 West McCarty Street;
- Castleton - 7650 East 88th Place;
- Northwest - 4806 Northwestern Drive (near 106th Street & Michigan Road);
- Greenwood - 155 Melody Avenue;
- Avon - 55 Vista Parkway, and
- Shadeland - 751 North Shadeland Avenue.
Donations will be accepted during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
