About your work experiences

What do you take the most pride in doing to help ensure a customer’s satisfaction with CB? My role as the Accounting Manager allows me to serve, support and assist those on the front lines of our customer service efforts. By providing CB’s leaders accurate tracking and analysis of our financial situation and key performance indicators, they can make timely, well-informed decisions about our future as a company. Employees who are secure in the knowledge that their employer is both visionary and fiscally responsible can concentrate on providing the highest quality service and repairs for our customers.

What is your favorite memory from your time at CB? There are SO MANY! I was offered a very unique opportunity when I came to work for Church Brothers. I had just completed my freshman year in college and joined Church Brothers as a data entry person for the summer. Before long CB turned into my work home and Dan and Rhonda took me under their wings and fostered my growth as an employee. I was offered educational and experiential opportunities that are unheard of in today’s workplaces – I was taken to industry events where I interacted with and learned from industry leaders and CB worked with my college schedule to help me complete both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. As my abilities grew, so did the company so I had countless opportunities to try new and different roles. I cannot imagine working anywhere else.

What do you most enjoy about working for CB? The people I work with. Some of us have worked together for so long that we are more friends and family than co-workers. I also find the work itself enjoyable and fulfilling, so that is a bonus.

What should a customer know about CB in regards to your role? Church Brothers is an amazing place to work. The owners and operators truly care about each employee and every customer. We are devoted to quality and take pride in our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We are financially sound, so that guarantee will be honored as long as they own their vehicle.

Just for fun – Answer the following if you want to…

What’s your dream car/truck? Believe it or not, I’m not really a car person. I guess I’d be content with anything that is good on gas mileage, comfortable, quiet and will sync to my phone.

How do you spend your spare time? My husband is self-employed, so I spend a lot of time working with him on his business (Famous Hoosiers, Inc.). I’m looking very much forward to filling my spare time with my first grandchild who is due to be born the end of this month. After these, my guilty pleasures are reading and watching television. I am currently reading a Diana Gabaldon novella called "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows." I am also binge-watching "Gilmore Girls."

Any hidden talents? I love to bake! And I can find pretty much anything Kerri McClintic needs me to on the internet.

Quote you live by? There are a lot, but probably the most succinct and applicable one in this situation is, "People work for people, not companies." It’s important to have quality relationships with the people you work with and for – you don’t have to be best friends, but you do have to respect and trust each other in order for a team to function at its highest potential.

Anything else you would want Facebook fans of CB to know about you? My given and chosen families are my life. They have made me who I am and I cherish every moment with each of them.
